Last week, we walked to our local free farm, St Werburghs City Farm. Thankfully the rain held off for us and the sun came out. We got to meet the animals and have a go at feeding some too. Lots of us were very brave and fed the sheep, and we also got the opportunity to smooth a chicken and a baby goat. Later on in the morning we visited the St Werburghs Community Gardens, where we explored the grounds looking at different plants. We made our very own 'Boggart', a malevolent genius loci inhabiting fields, using clay, sticks and other items we found on the floor. Take a look at our trip below...

Children in Need
On Friday the 16th November we took part in Children in Need across the school. To raise money we made donations to the school office and came dressed in in spots for the day. Take a look at the children in our class below from spotty socks to a outfit covered in spots. We even had our very own Pudsey Bear!
Anti Bullying Week
Last week within school we were focusing on Anti-Bullying Week. In Reception we used the story Rainbow Fish to highlight how other peoples words and actions can be hurtful and we discussed the importance of sharing. We created our own Rainbow Fish.

REPB visit Reception
On Monday the 22nd October, the RSPB came to visit Reception to look at habitats in our school grounds. First we listened to a story about a ladybird and then we headed outdoors to find bug habitats. We found a range of bugs including spiders, ladybirds, woodlice, centipedes and many more. We collected them into viewing pots and shared our findings with our friends. It was great exploratory morning, take a look at what we did below...
We got to observe the features of a bumblebee.
"I found a worm, it's really wriggly."
